Father's Day!

It has been quite a weekend! Maggie's first tooth popped through, Andrea's baby shower, and Mike's first Father's Day! Here are some highlights from today:

SOOO BIG

Maggie has been working really hard at standing lately. It seems to be her favorite position! This past weekend, she decided to start walking! With us holding her hands, she walked all the way across the living room! At playgroup, she walked around and visited all the other babies. Will she learn to crawl first, or just start walking?!?!

Sanibel Island

We will post pictures from our first family vacation to Florida to this slideshow throughout the week! Having a fantastic time and Maggie is doing awesome.

Busy girl!

Maggie has had a busy few days. We took our first road trip up to Brunswick and she slept most of the way. She woke up and watched Michael for a while, but then slept the rest of the drive. No stops!



In Brunswick, we saw Every Dow great uncle and aunt and lots of cousins for Great Grammie's 83rd birthday! We also visited great aunts and uncles on the Totman side! Happy Birthday Great Grammie!




We had a bath at Gram and Grampa's house by the warm stove last week, Maggie is starting to enjoy her baths and play a little:

We took a great walk in the Habitat. After about 15 minutes of smelling the smells, feeling the cool wind, and watching all the great sights, Maggie fell sound asleep! Here is the middle of the walk:

Reading

Maggie sat and happily read three books with me yesterday! She even talked about some of the pictures. It was really exciting! Also exciting- she is now sleeping in her crib. Two mornings in a row she has woken up smiling and looking around her room! Yay!

Cozy Weekend

After nine flights and three cities this past week, Mike was ready for a quiet weekend and some quality time with Maggie. Here are a few highlights and favorite pictures from last week:

One Month Old

Maggie is a month old! She has grown quite a bit- she is now 9 lb 7 oz. She is out of newborn diapers and clothes, boy that went fast!! She has changed a great deal and now spends a lot of time interacting and playing with us and with toys. We are having so much fun watching all these changes! Maggie's First Winter Walk

We took Maggie for a walk down to town yesterday. All three of us needed a little air! It was an adventure to bundle Maggie up for the first time, and then to get her back home:

First week at home

We have had a good first week at home, trying to catch up on sleep (might take 18 years). We've had a bunch of visitors and some quality family time!

Introducing... Margaret Dow Tajima!

Maggie has arrived! She was born at 6:44 pm on Wednesday, January 5. She was 7 pounds, 10.5 ounces and 19.5 inches long at birth. After 19 hours of labor, we were so thrilled and relieved to finally meet her! Emerson Hospital was really fantastic, we were so pleased with everything they did for us.

We are so happy to be home with our daughter, she is amazing, as I'm sure all parents feel about their children! What an adventure! Here are some pictures from her first few days of life:
